After the Border Gavaskar Trophy, the focus has shifted to the 9th ICC Champions Trophy which is starting on 19th Feb 2025 in Karachi Pakistan. The tournament is hosted by Pakistan but the matches of India will be played in ha ybrid model, This means the matches of India will be played in Dubai, so the host of this tournament is Pakistan but the matches of India will be played in Dubai.

The 8 teams are divided into two groups. The two groups are shown below.

so these 8 teams will play in 2 groups with each other and qualify for the semis and to the finals.
Venues
But there is a twist all the matches of India will be played in Dubai and if India qualifies for the semi’s then the semifinal will also be played in Dubai if India wins the semis and qualifies for the finals then the final will be shifted to Dubai and if India doesn’t manage to qualify for the semi’s and final’s then the matches will be played in Pakistan’s decided venue.

It means that the venue is neither properly beneficial for India nor for any other country. Dubai’s grounds and the conditions of the pitches don’t match Indian conditions so it is really similar to India to play in Dubai or in Pakistan because India doesn’t know both the conditions. Even though Pakistan has the advantage of playing in Dubai because they have played too many matches in Dubai and sometimes Dubai has been their home town and Dubai’s grounds have been there’s home grounds.

Timezone
ICC Champions Trophy is going to be held in ODI format hence its timing will be at 2:00 PM Pakistan Timing. If the match starts at 2:00 in Pakistan then the same match in India will start at 2:30.
Similarly, in every country the match will start only when it is 2:00 pm in Pakistan.
