It was a great journey for Ashwin in international cricket and all formats of the game. His contribution to the game was phenomenal. He gives his hundred percent for his team and he is a good player also.
Beginning
In the early stage of Ravichandran Ashwin’s career, he became popular for his sharp and unique action. He debuted for India in 2010 against Srilanka and he did really well and he made his place in the 15-man squad for the ODI World Cup 2011.
After his brilliant performance, he made his debut for India in all three formats. After that Ravichandran Ashwin didn’t see back. His performance increased day by day and he assures his place in the Indian team in all three formats.

” Hello everyone I really didn’t want to make this about myself. Honestly I think it would been better if Bumrah was here or Akash Deep was here but Rohit is unfortunately to have me along his side since its announced I’m not gonna take too much of your time. This will be my last day as Indian cricketer in all formats at the international level, I do feel there’s a bit of punch left in me as a cricketer, but I would like to expose a probably, showcase that in club level cricket, but this will be the last day and I had a lot of fun. I must say, have created a lot of memories alongside Rohit and several of my other teammates, Even though I’ve lost some of them over the last few years. we are the last bunch of OG’s if you can say that left out in the dressing room and I’d be marking this as my date of having played at this level. Obviously there are lot of people to thank, but I would be failing in my duties if I didn’t thank the BCCI and the fellow teammates for all of them. I want to name a few of them. All the coaches have been a part of the journey most importantly Rohit, Virat, Ajinkya, Pujara, who taken those catches around the back to give me the number of wickets have managed to get over the years. Also a big thankyou to the Australian cricket team who have been very fierce competitors. I enjoyed my time playing against them and I think it’s already getting long. I wouldn’t be talking any questions, but it’s truly a very emotional moment. I don’t think I’m in a position where I would be answering the questions in the right way, so please forgive me for that and once again, yeah, that’s my time.

6. Ashwin’s approach to the Farewell game
We all know Ashwins participation in the game and we all felt that he deserves a Farewell match. But Ashwin takes retirement in the middle of the series in which he was not playing. Ashwins approach was that if there is no place for me in the playing 11 then why was I being a burden on the team? He also said that if I request to BCCI {Board of Control for Cricket in India} for my Farewell match then they will arrange it but If I have to tell you about the farewell match then it is less meaningful. I personally feel that now it is difficult for me to make my place in the playing 11 and decided to retire.
