1: Batsman

  • Top Order Batsman: Team India has announced the squad for the Champion Trophy. Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill will open the innings. and Yashasvi Jaiswal will be available as a backup opener.
    • middle order batsman: When the top order batsmen Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill fail then the middle order batsmen will take charge. India’s middle-order batting lineup is very strong. Batsmen like Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul, and Rishabh Pant are present in India’s middle-order batting Which makes this middle-order batting lineup very strong.
    • Finisher and lower order: After a strong top order or middle order batting lineup, India has a lot of good finishers and lower order who can contribute with their bowling as well as batting. India has good all-rounders like Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja, Akshar Patel, and Washington Sundar to bring finishers and lower-order batting.

2 Bowling

  • Spinners: As strong as India’s batting lineup is, India’s bowling lineup is also strong. There are two departments in the bowling line of India, the spin bowling department and the pace department, and India is good in both. India is entering this Champion Trophy with four spin bowlers which include Akshar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav, Ravindra Jadeja, and Washington Sundar. For this reason, India has a lot of variety in the spin bowling department because out of four spinners, three are all-rounders.
  • pacers: India’s page bowling department has become very strong in the last few years. India’s bowling department is led by Jasprit Bumrah along with whom Mohammed Shami and Arshdeep Singh will also contribute in this Champion Trophy. Hardik Pandya also bowls very well in the powerplay and middle overs, which will help Jasprit Bumrah and the rest of the pacers a lot.
  • now the pressure is on the young bowlers due to the absence of Jasprit Bumrah. The young fast bowlers have to perform in the Champions Trophy.

3 Wicket Keeper :

India has entered this Champion Trophy with two brilliant wicket keepers, Rahul and Rishabh Pant. Both wicket keepers are very good in their own way but still only one will have to stand a chance and the other will have to sit on the bench. There is a high possibility that only Rahul will be included in India’s playing 11 and Rishabh Pant will sit on the bench. One wicketkeeper is lefty and the other is righty. India has created a variety that if any of your lefty batsman is injured then you can play with lefty wicketkeeper and if your righty batsman is injured then you can play with righty wicketkeeper.

Past performance in ChampionsTrophy

India’s performance in the Champions Trophy has been very good. India’s performance is getting better year after year and it is visible in big tournaments like the Champions Trophy. India could not even qualify in the semi-finals of the Champions Trophy 2006-2007 and India could not qualify in the semi’s of the Champions Trophy 2009-2010 also. But if we talk about the last two Champions Trophies in the past between the years 2013 and 2017, in the year 2013 India won the Champions Trophy title against England and in the year 2017 India was the runner-up against Pakistan. So there is a high chance that India will win this Champions Trophy.
